1. Ollie (a.k.a. Joe) Wilson previously created and ran the cult stand-up comedy club Joe's Comedy Madhouse in London for eight years.
The club gave comedy breaks and valuable stage time to top comedians including Jimmy Carr, If.comeddies winner Phil Nichol, Perrier Award winner Danny Kitson, and Stephen Merchant (Ricky Gervais's writing partner and co-star in The Office and Extras).
Joe's Comedy Madhouse was featured in a book penned by Sunday Times columnist A. A. Gill.
* Before launching Lewes Poetry, Oliver said: "When I attended the tremendous poetry events of Lewes Live Lit last year, I thought how wonderful it would be for Lewes to have its own monthly live performance poetry club.
"Lewes Poetry will feature the finest in performance and published poets from around Britain and abroad, as well as open mic spots for local and visiting poets."
Oliver, whose own poetry performances include gigs in Oxford, Birmingham, Leicester and Leamington, is Lewes Poetry's resident compere as well as promoter of the club.
