Photo of a lighthouse
Clouds Overhead
by Laura Taylor

Do you see that mountain up there in the sky?
(made of cloud)
We have crossed many together - but apart -
crossing the peaks and valleys of life side by side - but apart.

Same blood in our veins but different paths taken.

Do you see what I do above our heads?
(side by side lying on the grass)

Do you drift away to another place where life is free?

No drunken nights, or discontent,
no struggle for it to make sense.

Do you?
