Dr Dolittle Develops A Social Conscience
by Alan Wales

If I could talk to the ignorant
Just imagine it - chatting to a couldn't-care-less
about anything-at-all
Oooo what a neat achievement that would be.

If I could converse with the cynical
Without any upsets, stormings-off
or slamming-face
Oooo what a coup-de-grace that would be!

If I could talk to the ignorant
master the misery
assuage the apathy
bring some hope
and light
and energy...

On second thoughts I don't think I'll bother

I think I'll go and talk to the animals instead.
