Girl With One Track Mind (Sexhunters) I Fell in Love on the Northern Line |
![]() Staring by Peter Maguire I'm staring at the filament of my mind; the photographic imprint left behind, The, what I didn't see, but somehow I knew, The 'oh bloody hell is that vomit on my shoe!' There is something of a concern, Something inside that is starting to burn, Turn around; there is something to see, This isn't my life, this isn't me! I didn't subscribe to media glee, Turn the page, ah it's misery, You didn't say anything so I thought that you knew, That the waters are poisoned and we are in a canoe, Oh look, there's the stars, Start the car we'll get there in hours, Oh dear, the planet use to be blue, But now it is red-eyed from sniffing glue, No this isn't a nursery rhyme, It's things not improving, slipping into decline, You know I tried to buy some happiness, But instead I ended up with a bucket of piss, Oh contemplate and consider this, There is sweet remembrance that comes from a kiss, Horton did hear a who, And actions are things you actually do! I say the world is an illusion, I spit in its wake, But something is telling me this may be a mistake, That all this fucking around, Clowns in the Government, Children entombed underground, It might just have a reason, Perhaps universal consciousness teasing. . . Maybe it's saying 'Oi, you motherfucker!' You gonna take control? Or are you gonna be a sucker. . . Posted: June 2008. Copyright: Peter Maguire. |
