The Curse by Victor Elsey

I will try this tablet - that feels better, have
another one, this time with some alcohol - that
has made me forget who I am.
That is great, no more troubles - I just lose
myself in all that junk.
Keep on taking it, now I am not in reality, my
name I cannot remember.
Where do I live?
Do not be silly, I do not know!
Give me more, I cannot stand, I feel sick - can
somebody help me?
There is nobody there, the light is fading fast.
What is that, a corridor of light?
Goodbye to all my friends and family.
Too late - lights out!
