The Pi House, Cotesbach, on the most romantic night of the year
Ownsome Valentine

Valentine's Night on my ownsome,
My love's a million miles at least,
Steak and spuds she beams me down:
Our microwaved St. Valentine's feast!

In her honour candles are lit,
For devotion incense burned,
Thoughts of loves-past banished,
Lessons of lust finally learned.

Heart-shaped chocolates are devoured,
A bottle of Claret sunk,
I wallow in her sweetest nothings
on the blower - am I drunk?

And so to bed with Champagne truffles,
My lover still in mind,
This happy / sad Cupid night:
Our awesome, ownsome Valentine!
