Hedgehogs
and muntjac,
Alas alack,
eve in, eve out,
Evil toll
for mile on mile,
Only carrion-eyed magpie
could smile,
vulturing sinew of the
splattered limbs
of our friend
White Squirrel, slain by
an eighteen-wheelered
